Virtual Atlas
This free web application (IE, Safari and Chrome compatible) provides virtual colour atlases for the Colorcurve, Coloroid, DIN-6164, Munsell, NCS, OSA-UCS, and Swiss Colour Atlas 2541 colour order systems and for the BS:5252, RAL-840HR, and RAL-841GL colour ranges. In addition, the application supports spectral curve calculation, colour difference calculation, colour comparison, and colour notation conversion.

Each colour atlas can be viewed in a range of different planes, for example Munsell can be viewed as planes of constant hue, value, or chroma, and each plane can be magnified up to 800% displaying calculated intermediate colours not present in the actual atlas.
Munsell Hue
Samples on a plane can either be sized to fit (as above) or displayed at a user definable sample size, sample spacing and shape (as below).
SCA-2541 Hue
The application also supports spectral curve to CIE calculation using both current ASTM E308 and Stearns methods.
Spectral Curve Calculator
Colour Difference calculation is supported using CIE XYZ, CIE Yxy, CIELab, CIELuv, BS:5252, Colorcurve, Coloroid, DIN-6164, Munsell, NCS, OSA-UCS, RAL-840HR, RAL-841GL and SCA-2541 notations and the CIELab, CIELuv, CIE94, CIE 2000, CMC(l:c), DIN99, FMC1/2 and HunterLab colour difference formulas.
Colour Difference Calculator
Notational conversion is supported for a range of illuminant and observer combinations between CIE XYZ, CIE Yxy, CIELab, CIELuv, Colorcurve, Coloroid, DIN-6164, Munsell, NCS, OSA-UCS and SCA-2541.
Colour Notation Conversion
Colours can be compared by simply dragging and dropping any atlas sample, spectral curve sample, or colour difference sample onto one of the ten colour boxes on the bottom right of the screen. The Colour Comparer tool provides for the comparison of up to 4 different colours.
